Polartec® is regarded as the “inventor” of outdoor fleece and is one of the leading manufacturers of high-quality functional fabrics. One of the US company’s best-known materials is Polartec® Power Stretch®, an extremely breathable, hard-wearing and soft four-way stretch fabric with excellent moisture wicking and high levels of comfort.
Polartec® Power Stretch® is knitted from two fibre components with different properties. The outside is extremely robust, the inside, typically fleece, is pleasantly fluffy.
At Martini Sportswear, this technical stretch fabric is used mostly for mid layers and winter pants, where the focus is on freedom of movement and temperature regulation.

Perspiration and moisture on the skin can be uncomfortable and impair performance. Polartec® Power Stretch® Pro™ keeps the body warm and dry by allowing water vapour to escape unhindered.

The brushed reverse creates many small points of contact with the skin, which immediately draw excess perspiration away from the body and transport it to the outside of the fabric, where it is distributed over a large area. There, the moisture can evaporate within a very short space of time, and at least twice as fast as with cotton, for example.
